Mechanical frame installation by IKH at CERTH

On January 24, 2020 IKH successfully installed a motorized mechanical frame at CERTH’s infrastructures. The mechanical structure comprises two linear moving rails of seven meters long each and a mechanical frame mounted on the rails and it is driven by a motion controller to set the constant velocity for a scan. RGB-D sensors and laser scanners are able to be mounted on the mechanical frame, which also can host the lighting elements required for setting the optimal illumination conditions for the image sensors.
